Director of the Child and Adolescent Program
Dr. Lauren Maltby is a board-certified child and adolescent psychologist specializing in anxiety and behavior disorders, including OCD, AD/HD, disruptive behaviors, social anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She is also a certified infant-parent and early childhood mental health specialist (California Endorsement).
Throughout her pre-doctoral internship at UC Davis Children’s Hospital and her postdoctoral fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Maltby’s training has emphasized evidence-based interventions for children and families, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for mood and anxiety disorders.
Dr. Maltby is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA, and practices at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in the K.I.D.S. Clinic. In addition to treating children and adolescents, Dr. Maltby has experience treating adults coping with traumatic events and survivors of child maltreatment.
Dr. Maltby is located at the Torrance office.
