Michele Rose is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCS #21445) who began her 25 years of practice at the University of Michigan hospitals in the Anxiety Disorders program and the Personality Disorders clinic. There she completed training in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her work has been with adults and adolescents.
Michele is a seasoned leader of groups, classes, and workshops on skills for insomnia using CBT-I (CBT for Insomnia), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and CBT for depression. She has experience helping people with OCD in various forms, including Harm OCD, Contamination, and Safety/checking compulsions. Her interests also include the use of CBT for grief and loss, body focused anxieties, panic attacks, mood disorders, and weight loss and maintenance.
In addition to a master’s degree and license in clinical social work, Michele holds a master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Michigan. She is comfortable with and welcoming of spiritual concerns and a diversity of perspectives and practices.
