• Good Faith Estimate

In compliance with the No Surprises Act, patients can request that their health care providers them with a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) before starting treatment to show the costs of services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs. This may include the costs of medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
