  • Kick for a Cure: CBT SoCal sponsors an online telethon supporting breast cancer fundraiser

October is breast cancer awareness month and CBT SoCal’s Dr. Jason von Stietz is sponsoring the second annual Kick for a Cure event held by a Women’s Premiere Soccer League team. Invictus A.C. Feminae (formerly Salsa Women’s Soccer Club),  will be hosting an online telethon via Instagram, as mentioned in a previous CBT SoCal news article. Invictus has recently released information regarding the telethon and how people can not only support breast cancer awareness but also fund research for new more effective treatments.

    When is it?

The telethon will take place on Saturday October 17th from 9am to 9pm.

    How do I watch it?

All you need is a free Instagram account and you will be able to follow @invictusacfeminae. Several of your favorite Invictus players will be doing “Instagram takeovers” in which they will post Instagram Stories and Instagram Lives for fans to view.

    How can I help?

Invictus has created a special Kick for a Cure event t-shirt which is available for purchase (seen above). The shirt is pink in honor of breast cancer awareness and includes the CBT SoCal logo, along with the logos of the other event sponsors, on the back. These shirts can be purchased by direct messaging the @invictusacfeminae Instagram account.

People can also support the fundraiser on the day of the telethon by bidding on prizes or simply donating money.

    Where does the money go?

Similar to the 1st event, all proceeds will be donated to the Torrance Memorial hospital.
