Melissa Aristoza is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (#98650) who supports children, teens, families, and adults in navigating through their mental health journey and assisting them in achieving their personal goals. She completed advanced training and worked at Rogers Behavioral Health, the nation’s premier intensive treatment program for Obsessive Compulsive and Anxiety Disorders. Her experience includes utilizing evidence-based practices such as Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Behavioral Activation (BA).
Educational Background: Melissa received her Masters and Bachelors in Clinical Social Work at Loyola University Chicago with minors in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies. She also has a sub-specialization in Addictions.
Clinical Background: Melissa has worked in a variety of mental health settings ranging from partial hospitalization to residential settings. She has completed training and worked at Rogers Behavioral Health, the nation’s premier intensive treatment program for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety Disorders. She has experience working with diverse populations with different mental health issues – providing Motivational Interviewing and group therapy to teenagers with substance use disorders to utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to support adults on the autism spectrum.
Modalities: Melissa utilizes Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Behavioral Activation (BA) to assist her clients.
