CBT SoCal’s Dr. Brittany Beyerlein is now offering online group therapy for teens with anxiety
CBT SoCal is currently offering virtual group therapy (conducted via video sessions) for teens with anxiety (i.e., OCD, Social Anxiety, Specific Phobias). Dr. Brittany Beyerlein, a licensed psychologist specializing in working with children and adolescents, will be running a group focused on helping adolescents address different types of anxiety through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches. The group will be held once per week for 75 minutes.
Group therapy can be an effective way to target mental health symptoms, including anxiety, while also gaining additional support and a sense of community from others with similar experiences. Feeling as though one is “not alone” is especially important for adolescents who are going through a phase of life in which they are figuring out who they are and how they fit into this world.
To qualify for this group, the adolescent must:
-Be 16-19 years of age.
-Be experiencing symptoms associated with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, social anxiety, or a specific phobia (e.g., fear of spiders, needles, driving, flying, etc.).
-Have parental permission to join the group.
If you are interested in learning more about this group or in enrolling your adolescent, please contact Dr. Beyerlein at 310-375-4855 ext. 6 or [email protected]
*If you are unsure of whether or not your teen qualifies for the group, or if you are interested in hearing about other teen groups being offered at CBT SoCal, feel free to contact Dr. Beyerlein at the number/email provided above.
